Keith Underwood's Flute Master Class opens with dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12th and closes with brunch at 11:00 a.m. on  Friday, June 17th.

Teacher Biography

Keith Underwood received his Master's Degree from the Yale School of Music in 1976. He has appeared frequently with the New York Chamber Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, the Orpheus Ensemble and the Orchestra of St. Luke's. Renowned as a teacher, Mr. Underwood's students are flutists with America's major orchestras including the Cleveland Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. On the faculty at the Mannes School of Music, Mr. Underwood also gives master classes at the Juilliard School, The Manhattan School of Music and the Eastman School of Music.

Application Information

All new participant applications should be supported by 2 letters of recommendation; in some cases audition tapes or CDs will be requested. All applications will be processed on receipt and after application fee is received. Applicants will be notified by mail. A non-refundable payment of $300.00 is due upon acceptance. Balance is due 10 days before the opening date of class.

Each masters class includes a concert, open to the public, featuring the master teachers performing a wide array of repertoire .  On June 13th, 7:30 pm Keith Underwood shares his fascinating stories and marvelous music in an evening focused on the flute. For those not in the master class, tickets to this performance may be purchased HERE.
