This amazing Festival of Winds came to be as a result of the pandemic's effect on the summer festival opportunities for gifted young professionals. Several famous festivals had to severely limit the number of players they could serve which left many without any summer performance opportunities which are so important to career development. Elaine Douvas, Principal Oboist of The New York Metropolitan Opera and our oboe master teacher for nearly 15 years, raised the funds to make it possible for 22 brilliant players and five master class teachers to gather at Hidden Valley for 10 days of intensive rehearsal and performance.

The repertoire for the performances includes some of the most beautiful and interesting works composed for wind instruments. Each concert is approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

All performances start at 7:30 pm; doors open at 7:00 pm. Individual tickets are $25 per concert.
