World Charting Group, Lifting the Sky (LTS) Debut Performance "Music For Well-Being"

The musical ensemble "Lifting the Sky" will present an immersive evening of music. The group was formed to create a unique therapeutic listening experience through the extraordinary properties of the alchemy singing bowls interwoven with the broader musical lyricism of the flute. Together with soundscapes they have shaped a new compositional language. LTS spent years learning to repurpose the power of music to create a meditative sonic journey that elevates the listener to a state of well-being. The ensemble mission is to counter balance life's turbulence as mental health has become a frontline issue in the world we live in today.

"Lifting the Sky" is comprised of Deva Munay and Peter Gordon released on Thirsty Ear, a record label with a 35 year history of releasing outstanding and innovative recordings. LTS's previous CD reached top 5 on three Apple Music Playlists, #1 on two Youtube/Vevo Charts and streamed in over 135 countries.

Deva Munay, a Big Sur resident, has over 25 years of experience having begun her journey in India studying Dalai Lama's teachings on mindfulness and meditation. Deva holds an Occupational Studies degree in Sound Healing and Therapy and is on the faculty of Esalen.

Peter Gordon, a Carmel Valley resident, is a Grammy nominated producer and internationally acclaimed flautist. He is a former Vice President of the Monterey Jazz Festival and has worked extensively to help the development of the musicians through the Doris Duke Foundation and several national organizations he founded.

"Lifting the Sky" is a project which transforms the listening experience through sound, to heal, soothe and create a sanctuary of peace, ease and well-being.
