Composers presenting new works include Dana Abbott, Benjamin Belew, Richard Carr, Steve Ettinger, Alejandro Gatica, Paula Kaiser, Carelton Macy, Douglas Ovens, Julie Roseman, Dale Victorine.
The Monterey County Composers' Forum presents "Making Waves," a concert of new music by local composers and songwriters. There will be some excellent guest performers and a fascinatingly varied program. Three Pacific Grove composers will be presenting new works, Ovens, Gatica, and Macy. Ovens' piece is for himself on Vibes with an electronic soundtrack. Gatica's piece ill be played by local flutist, Jars Johannesson. Johannesson will also be playing two of Macy's works for amplified solo flute, including a recent piece "RBG: Making Waves."
