On Sunday October 13, 2024 at 3:00 pm The Monterey County Composers' Forum will present "Friction", a concert of new music by local composers and songwriters performed by the acclaimed Friction Quartet.
Friction Quartet is dedicated to modernizing the chamber music experience and expanding the string quartet repertoire. The quartet's performances have been described as "terribly beautiful" (San Francisco Classical Voice), "stunningly passionate" (Calgary Herald), and "exquisitely skilled" (ZealNYC).
Composers presenting new works include David Canright, Jose Chaidez, Maretha Davel, Steve Ettinger, Alejandro Gatica, Carleton Macy, Edward Moncrief, Douglas Ovens, Dale E. Vicorine,and Rick Yramategui.
Admission: $20 at the door
