Presented by HVMS
Many of the great musicians of our time have presented classes and performances at Hidden Valley. Our Masters' Festival Series continues the tradition in the summer of 2017 with five concerts featuring music for English Horn, Cello, Oboe, Bassoon, Flute, and Jazz Flute. Ali Ryerson's performance during Jazz Flute Club Night has the distinction, as does her master class, of the backing of a complete jazz ensemble.

On Thursday June 8th, 2017 at 7:30 pm Ali Ryerson presents Jazz Flute Club Night, where her talents are joined by Steve Rudolph on piano, Akira Tana on percussion, and John Wiitala on bass. With a career spanning over four decades, Ms. Ryerson consistently ranks among the top jazz flutists in the Downbeat Jazz Poll and has been honored as Jazz Flutist of the Year nominee by the Jazz Journalists Association. Ms. Ryerson has released close to 20 albums on major jazz labels and has toured the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, New Zealand and Africa performing in jazz festivals and concert halls, including the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
