Presented by HVMS
Many of the great musicians of our time have presented classes and performances at Hidden Valley. Our Masters' Festival Series continues the tradition in the summer of 2017 with five concerts drawing on the talents of our master class instructors for English Horn, Cello, Oboe, Bassoon, Flute, and Jazz Flute. These master musicians leave their symphony orchestras behind to bring you an intimate evening of music focused on solo & duo instruments as you've never heard them before.
Prepare to be dazzled when New York Philharmonic's Judith LeClair and The Cleveland Orchestra's Robert Walters come together for a concert of bassoon and english horn artistry. Their program, as diverse and deep as their talents is presented on Friday June 23rd, 2017 at 7:30 pm.
Ms. LeClair, an internationally active chamber player, is on the faculty at the Juilliard School, and has gives master classes throughout the world. Ms LeClair premiered The Five Sacred Trees, a concerto written for her by John Williams.
Mr. Walters has been the solo english hornist for The Cleveland Orchestra since 2004. Prior to coming to Cleveland, Mr. Walters was the solo english horn player of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (2000-04), and with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (1997-2000).
